Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A bit of a gimmick. We found this a total waste of time. It is about 2 kms from Triberg marktplatz and is  2-3 stops away  but the bus service is erratic  and unreliable.

It is just a big clock and not worth putting an effort.  Souvenir shop with variety of cuckoo clocks that you can anyways find in the city centre. We enjoyed Triberg falls . You can skip this if you dont have a car and are not accompanied by kids.

A little trip to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and also to have our beautiful cuckoo clock repaired. We bought it in 1984 in Sankt Goar. We once took it back to be cleaned, and then a second time when it no longer worked we took it back again, but they told us they no longer do repairs, that we had to go to the black forest. It was too far at that time. But now we were going to Villingen for a show and asked where we could have our clock repaired and this place was recommended. Then to also discover the biggest clock we have ever seen, was a real experience too. We gave our clock in to be repaired, it will be very expensive, but, we think, worth it, to have our beloved clock working again. Then the visit to the giant clock was amazing to see the works inside.

Bought a cuckoo clock Eble shop which had a defect, emails ignored after sending all requested details, not only that but one email was in German and very rudely written, calling me names for no reason. Very unprofessional and arrogant handling of clients. Up to today, no answer to my email requesting assistance to resolve the issue of this new and expensive clock!

This is an attraction worth visiting. There is really no need to have a tour. We just drove there on our own. For about 1 euro you can hear a history of the clock. There is a display that shows how the clock operates. There is a nice store where they sell all sorts of cuckoo clocks of all sizes – a perfect place to buy a souvenir for yourself or for a friend. The bathroom costs 1 euro.

We stopped in for a visit since it's right on the road. You need 2 1-Euro coins to see the clock-works. (change available at the clock store). Lacking charm (IMO). Take your picture and drive on to Schonach Untertal.

Triberg has 2 "worlds largest cuckoo clocks". This may be the biggest, but our hotel proprietress recommended Schonach Untertal and if you are willing to drive (or take the bus, free with KONUS Card), head to Schonach Untertal for all-wooden works and some nicer scenery.

Totally enjoyed watching the clock when it hits the hour and half hour. If you are anywhere in the area, it is worth the visit. The black forest mountain is awesome

This is a great excursion especially if you like to hike as there are many paths that you can take. For those not in great shape if you take your time you can definately do this. It is for sure worth the time and the effort to get to the top!

I have to say seeing the worlds biggest cuckoo clock was crazy, it also was amazing. Walking in this shop was very interesting.
And of course I couldn’t leave without buying a clock or two. The shipping was included4in the price of the clock.
Prices were reasonable, considering the house of 1000 clocks next door were way over priced.

Took the bus to get here. Proudly proclaimed on the wall the existence of the world's largest cuckoo clock. Really gigantic, majestic. Then we went into the shop selling clocks. There are not as many types of cuckoo clocks here as compared to a shop in the centre of Triberg town. However, there are more grandfather's clocks here. There are also many souvenirs . Nice, creative, innovative, striking gifts to take home.

It is the worlds largest cuckoo clock. Try to visit there just before 12 noon and take a look at the cuckoo bird ringing the noon bell.
