This is a great place for a short stop to take pictures and have some great views. The bridge played an important part in Heidelberg's history and was destroyed by the allies in WWII. It is not a destination stop but should only take a few minutes and worth the time when you are in the center city area.

A cool refreshing walk on an old narrow stone bridge with history. Many couples walking hand in hand. Peaceful in January.

If you are a lover of bridges, this would be one. Yes it was repaired after WWII as was much of Germany. They did an amazing reconstruction that shows the beauty of the original artists.

Awesome view for the city as well as the castle. Weather is very cold always if you are from India. Locals are a bit stringy & don't like to talk or interact much.

Out your guide avit-vit said the bridge is not that old. It was brought down during a war and from time to time the city brings it down for renovation. The attraction is the lovely monkey. Must take picture

Didn't realize the big deal of the bridge until we made our way on it. What awesome views await you. It's a beautiful structure in its own right, but you can take in views of the city, the mountains and the castle from this spot. It is also a crowded area, expect to take on the views with 1000 of... This is a beautiful bridge in a nice area. When you are on the bridge there are spectacular views and there is lots of nice areas to see. It is close to the centre of town so it is not out of the way.
