Real German food and butter tender beef! Spätzle like my grandmother made. Apple strudel with walnut ice cream. All of this marvelous food in a beautiful very German restaurant. Attentive waitstaff. A trip highlight.

One of the oldest best maintained structures in HEidelberg, has a boutique romantic hotel and restaurant also. Not 5 stars but a cultural experience.

Hotel zum Ritter is a Heidelberg classic - located right in the heart of Old Town. Rich in tradition this is the most authentic place in Heidelberg you can stay at. Prices are reasonable. Don't expect unrivaled luxury - but quaintness and old world charm. This is an OLD building - but still, rooms are generous in size and well... More

The reason for booking this hotel was because of the look and feel of the hotel. Was expecting a room which represents the hotel appearance. Instead the room was modern looking, and the bed given was twin beds, instead of queen double bed requested in the booking. Disappointed. The toilet was small, no hangers for towels- inconvenient. No toiletries (body... More

This ancient house has been undamaged throughout time. Its detailed facade deserves a look. We didn't stay there so can't comment on the rooms.

At the end of the 16. century was built this building for a rich merchant, and still today you see the whole facade as it was. Hopefully the hotel inside is more modern. The building is one of the finest architectural memory of the city.

Just opposite to the Heiliggeistkirche church, this stunning building was built in 1592 by the wealthy Huguenot cloth merchant Charles Belier. It is said to be the only mansion to survive all the wars and fires in Heidelberg. The impressive Renaissance facade of ashlar masonry is adorned with fluted columns, stunning window frames and lots of ornamentation. Currently, its a... More
