A nice site to visit

The building is very nice from the outside, but the best of it is the garden. It is very big and you can easily spend half a day there.

I thought I would spend a leisurely afternoon at this museum, but was absolutely mistaken. The galleries occupy almost all of the four stories (basement included) in this former palace. The handy guide brochure is aptly named, Art and Culture through the Ages, and that is not an exaggeration!! The environments include prehistory, the Romans on the Rhine Upper River,... More

This was an outstanding museum with lots of interesting things and it was laid out very well. It had things from Stone ages through to the modern day. My only gripe (and reason for not giving 5 stars) is that the information was only in German and they did not seem to offer audio guides. This was a little frustrating... More

For 4 euro as the entrance fee, I was amazed by the collection inside. Friday afternoon for free after 2pm as well. Its possible to climb to the top of the tower to get some view of the city. Worth a visit if one has longer time for Karlsruhe, and interested in the museums.

I paid 7 euro to get into the Cowboy and Indian Festival in the grounds with entry for the Museum. I only wanted to climb the tower to see the City from a height and it was so worth it. But if you are into history lots of that in there Once you are up the steep spiral staircase You... More

An interesting variety of exhibits which widen a visitor's knowledge of the history and activities within Baden-Wurrtemberg. Many require considerable study and a return to fully appreciate their value.

The museum education concepts employed are extremely old-fashioned and uninspired. Interior design of the exposition rooms is in most cases so strikingly ugly that it seriously distracts from the exhibited artifacts (some of which would no doubt be worth viewing in an exposition designed in a better way). The concept of the exposition usually lacks a modern, critical perspective, perpetuates... More

You can learn a lot from the architecture, and from the history of the city. If you have time go up to the tower, wonderful view on the city.

The only thing I found interesting was the top of the castle, from where you could see all karlsruhe. The view is really good

This beautifully laid out palace-museum is definitely the city's most engrossing tourist attraction....if you find time for nothing else just visit it! this was my 2nd visit in 2015 and it does not cease to amaze!
