Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great wellness facility with a wide range of offers. Unfortunately, it is very disturbing that few guests wear swimwear in the facility. Over 90% of guests are naked in the sauna and wellness area. Few use the swimming and thermal pools wearing swimwear. The supervisory staff only took action by pointing out when people were sitting in the sauna with clothes on. The facility should be used in a uniform manner. We therefore felt uncomfortable the whole time. We will not visit the thermal spa again.

As far as we are concerned, the Vierordtbad Thermal Baths (yes, I know, I am sort of saying "baths baths" ;-) is one of the best such establishments in Germany, where the competition is obviously quite fierce.

You have a great variety of water-oriented activities to choose from: hot pool to soak in placidly, large warm pool for some relaxed swimming or lying on bubble beds, still warmer pool for gentle playing with your kids, massaging jets all around. Then there is a selection of saunas at various temperatures, a steam room, and Jacuzzis. Oh, and a cold dip pool for the brave - right next to the hot one so that you can get the full alternating experience. I am sure I am forgetting something.

The bottom line is that at the end of a cold day of sightseeing relaxing here is just wonderful. Everything is spotlessly clean and in good repair. People are generally friendly but give you your space. The atmosphere is peaceful and mostly quiet but not "humorless".

Lest I forget, one of the best features of these baths, as far as we are concerned, is that most afternoons/evenings and full day on weekends it is all clothing optional, i.e., FKK. In fact, the sauna/steam-room part of the complex can only be enjoyed naked: no swimsuits allowed. If you have ever wanted to try the true thermal baths experience, this is the way and the place to do it. We have been going here for years, always bringing our children with us. They seem to enjoy it as much as we do. And, while this is not an "adventure pool" and aims for relaxation and well-being instead, we regularly see other families whose kids seem to figure out that screaming and running around does not belong here.

Bottom line: the place is awesome and if you find yourself anywhere near the area you should go.

Minus the fancy/luxury frills it's just perfect in all respects. My favourite and simple the best I have been to at this price point.

Euro 12 for 2 hours 16 for 4 hours and 18 full day - at this price point it's like premium economy at economy class prices.

All facilities and good and well balanced, infusions conducted very professionally every half hour, ambience is good, calm and decent. Not over crowded and very clean.

The Therme Vierordtbad doesn't have the historical ambiance of the Friedrichsbad, Palais Thermal, or the Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme but my wife and I found it to be much more fun and enjoyable. We went three days in a row. From the small co-ed changing areas walk down a hall to the spa area. High quality Aufguss in the saunas - good for practicing mindfulness. Spa etiquette requires that skin does not touch the wood benches; every part of the body including feet need to be on a towel. Nice steam room and outdoor area. Wrap a towel around you to go through the small cafe which is the only textile required zone, to enter the pool area. Lap swimming is possible in the 20 meter pool, but the water is a bit warm. Bring shower shoes, a large towel and a water bottle and goggles if you plan to swim laps. Don't miss the old fountain and rotunda which are around the side of the building. We plan to go back again.

We visited the spa and the place is nice, it is very important to know that starting at 14:00 every day of the week most of the spa is completely nude. There is nothing to bring children, and anyone who intends to come with a bathing suit has nothing to do there!

This is my favorite sauna complex and as I visit the family in the area I always make sure I pay this place at least one 4h visit every time! The staff is wonderful and there is a big sauna and bath selection including a long swimming-pool and a little restaurant if you get hungry, all in all a treat for your body and soul :-)

It really is a lovely little spa for those cosy evening hours.
Especially after the renovation, it is easy to reach by public transport.
