Very quiet and out of town but only a 30Euro taxi trip from the city. We had visitied the Porsche Museum in the morning. We spent only about 30 minutes in the main wine pressing barn, which dates from about 1600, its enormous and very impressive. There isn't a great deal in the museum but the large barrels and many... We spent a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon at the wine museum - we paid the EUR 3 to enter and found the displays to be interactive and interesting. Not to mention free wi-fi inside! I am sure if we had have spoken to the couple who were running the museum that afternoon that we could have organised an English tour... More

They charge Euro 3 for the museum entry is fair, however there isn't much to see in it. The wines from Oberturkheim they serve are great. I would recommend them not charging for an entry to the museum, if not atleast have some table in their where patrons can drink and soak in the wine heritage. The walk to the... More

The wine museum is in the Uhlbach part of Stuttgart which is actually a pleasant rural village. The museum has items associated with the production of wine, but the best thing is actually the walk there from Obertürkheim through the vineyards on one of Stuttgart's many sign-posted wine ways.
