Pretty Little Area, Worth a Wander!

We arrived at the Fishermen's Quarter at around 9am, before everything was open and during a spot of light rain. Being so early and rain soaked, the area was nicely quiet and it gave us time to wander around the cobbled streets, looking at the pretty timber frame style buildings. As the TripAdvisor images show the area in the summer... More

Only visited off-season but still an interesting area to visit. Can imagine it is really busy in summer. Beautiful area with lots of fascinating buildings.

Very pretty area just a short walk from the Munsterplatz. It is a bit like a little Amsterdam, cobblestone streets, old houses, canals, the famous leaning house, the odd water wheel. It is a charming spot for a walk even on a bitterly cold January day! Then head back to central Ulm for a hot drink!

We wandered through this part of town at night after all shops were closed for the day, so it was very quiet out -- we basically were the only ones out and about! All of the buildings and stoned streets are so charming, and it makes for a great stroll through town, even when it is below freezing like it... More

It has the feel of a medieval small town, actually lived in,not something created to humor tourists who come with their cameras, although they certainly do.

The wealth of old historic buildings is amazing. Many are hotels, B&B's, guesthouses, cafes & restaurants, galleries & specialty shops. Some on the River Blau have weirs & working waterwheels. Opposite the Old town wall close to this area shows some of what the soldiers home look like from the outside. Be sure to find the statues of 2 men as... More

The Fishermen's Quarter of Ulm, also known as the Fishermen's and Tanners' Quarters, is a quaint part of the city to visit. The architecture is fantastic and there is considerable history here. This area has shops and restaurants and provides a number of great photo opportunities.

This area was absolutely beautiful, it is very well maintained and there are rivers flowing through most of the buildings, there are beautifully painted houses, all with bright and colorful flowers on every window, and the architecture is absolutely unique. It is wonderful area for picture taking. There are many beautiful restaurants all along and it makes for a lovely... More

I truly fell in love with the Fishermen's Quarter. The river, the big trees, the colorful flowers, give you an amazing dose of nature. It is a very small part of the center, but it is honestly beautiful.

Nice area for a stroll, and good eating too. It contains a higher percentage of modern houses that I was expecting, and not all of them are fitting in with the historic houses, but the historic houses and stream (with weirs and sculptures) make this area worth visiting. It would be even better on a sunny day!
