Arrived here around 10am. Paid €3 to park & the cable car was €12.50 for an adult & €11 for a senior. Not sure how often they go up- we didn’t have to wait. They cram up to 30 people in. At the top there...More

I really can’t understand why this is place is not so famous - at least according to its reviews on TripAdvisor. The views on the top are really breathtaking, cablecar ride is very nice and restaurants and hiking up there is also amazing. Don’t miss...More

While you can just take the cable car up and down, we made this into a hike by walking down from the mountain top. But first, you’d rather get from the upper cable car station to the mountain top - the hike is not too...More

If you are anywhere close to Walchensee, don't miss the opportunity to take the Herzogstandbahn lift to the top to soak in world class views and and hike around a bit. Your 12.5 euro round trip will be well spent for unforgettable views, and even...More

Very beautiful view from the top, but cable car will not drop you on the top. There is a road to the top, but requires good physical condition. Small kids cannot go whole trip up and down alone. But, when you reach the top.........

We hiked up Herzogstand and then took the cable car down- so I'm putting the review under the already existing cable car rather than make a new listing for the mountain. The hike is moderately difficult- not because the trail is tricky, it isn't, but...More

Quick drive to the top and back and comparing to many other Alp lifts it was rather cheap. Fast option to those who don't want to hike up.

This was very nice trip, ofcourse this is only elevator for top, but that view from this cab and from top is so nice! You can easly take family to this place and from there to restaurant on top of mountains.

When we visited this past Sunday, the mountain was full of hiking groups dressed in traditional Bavarian outfits. Most had hiked to the top from the bottom. But then there were many others with baby strollers, dogs, older people and non-hikers like those in our...More

We went up there on a very sunny afternoon. Since it was quite hot as well, it was rather hazy. This didn't kill the mood though. The views of the close mountains around the Walchensee were still spectacular. We didn't go walking since we were...More
