Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace Day Tour from Munich

4,657 reviews
Bavaria is famous for its fairy-tale castles, built by King Ludwig II, the “Mad King,” and this tour from Munich visits two of the most beautiful. Enjoy a stop and optional tour of Linderhof Castle; marvel at Neuschwanstein Castle, known as the “Sleeping Beauty” castle with a stop and optional tour; wander Hohenschwangau village; and admire the bold murals and medieval houses of Oberammergau.

Went there after a tour with people I met during the tour, after our great lunch here, we were the best of friends!!! We were lucky with great weather! Plus, great food and beer. I highly recommend ❤️ They are having some renovations seems like, lots of lumber in the yard but it didn’t take away from the afternoon or meal :)

My husband and I stopped for dinner and their great Augustiner beer. We were not disappointed! Best meal we had in Germany!

We we twice. 1st time just to try Augustiner - we were working our way round the brewers. Had a stein in the garden and a pretzel, just the 1 between the 2 of us. The beer was great and the pretzel fresh and tasty. We came back for our last night in Munich as we a) loved Augustiner and b) wanted to have traditional Bavarian food. We hadn't booked - they don't take same day bookings after a certain time. We took the chance on going down there as opposite direction from the main tourist city streets. They found us a table really quickly and our waiter was really nice and friendly. Beer was just as good 2nd time round and the food was just excellent. Made for a perfect last night. Thank you Augustiner Keller for a great night

We arrived earlier prior to lunch and were able to be seated. It became more crowded as time went on. As that occurred, the service was so so, but that is pretty normal and it wasn't unbearable.

Outdoor under the trees with hundreds of wooden tables and seats serving Bavaria Signature dishes like Haxe and the traditional bread Pretzel. Every table is full of 1 litre beer or Radler (lemon soda with beer, German drinks especially for summer). Meat-lover paradise. They also served fish fillet and grill Mackerel. Many veggie side dishes are available. There are English menu other than the German menu. Tasty food, relax atmosphere. Good for friends and family gathering. There is a self-served area and non-self-served area.
