Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stop in here often, as it is a nice relaxing biergarten at the north end of the city.
Serves Hofbräubier.
If you are staying in the city, it is a must for the tours of the Munich Biergartens.

Yesterday was warm and a beautiful day to go exploring Biergärten in Munich. Near the north end of the Englisher Garten we found this lovely Biergarten situated in a wooded area shaded by lots of chestnut trees, and stopped for a beer and a bite to eat. It also has a large playground for children.

The Biergarten is large, seating over 2000 and spread out over many acres. As noted, there are lots of chestnut trees for shade, and the Biergarten offers the usual food, ranging from ribs, chicken, and haxen to sausages and salads. I had a pair of schweinewurst with Bavarian bread and sauerkraut and it was very tasty.

It's a bit hard to get to with public transportation, and available parking was pretty much all taken by the time we got there (around 6:30 PM). Perhaps the best way is to come by bike through the Englisher Garten.

A nice place to relax on a sunny evening.

We were in the service area at Aumeister Essen yesterday. The waitress came and took our order, then came the prejudice that the fried potatoes were served with bacon because she assumed I was a Muslim. That's not acceptable! If I belonged to that religion, it would still be my decision, the comment was completely inappropriate and almost racist. Anyway, the veal schnitzel that we had ordered finally arrived. One piece was inedible - raw meat was actually brought to the table, totally tough and bloody. We politely told the waitress this. She then took the piece of meat that had been cut in half. Shortly afterwards she came back with the same piece of meat, totally shredded, the breading was barely left on it, then she immediately disappeared, as if she knew what rubbish she had served. Again politely we told her that it was probably the same piece and that it hadn't really gotten any better. Same game - took it with us and came again with a small piece of meat, mind you, it felt like half the meat. After another conversation, the head chef came and argued with us that veal schnitzel is always undercooked and that this is normal, etc. He didn't understand it, but after a lot of back and forth he brought us a new portion. We lost our appetite and our desire. Something so embarrassing and unreasonable has never happened to us before. I would have preferred to leave immediately. No apology or anything. Shameless and inconsiderate, just disgusting behavior from the waiters to the head chef. Never, ever again! So if you want overpriced food that is inedible and listless, racist waitresses, you've come to the right place. I've never experienced such bad service.

Wonderful Biergarten, never overcrowded and ideal after a nice bike tour in the Englischer Garten. Traditional Bavarian Biergarten food including tasty Steckerlfisch grilled fish. Customers are more local than tourists. The restaurant is also very good but my favorite choice in the summer remains a table in the shadow of the Biergarten.. Recommended as destination for a nice bike tour or walk in the weekend.

Very expensive, poor quality and unfriendly staff. You can't get any worse than that for poor service. Now they also charge a parking fee.
