We took a trip on the Hop On Hop Off tour bus in Munich and made a stop here. The external grounds are immaculately manicured and include lakes with ducks and swans. The inside of the Schloss needs at least an hour to fully absorb all the architecture and artwork. Incredible portrait gallery and ceiling frescoes. Entry to the Schloss/Palace... More

Next on the list was Nymphenburg Palace where we saw more of king Ludwicks belongings..... Several snow sleighs, buggies and several sets of horse attachments to the Buggies. Very nice palace. I loved it!

A little bit out of the city centre but highly recommend to go. The palace is very beautiful especially the ceiling. Don't miss!

We really enjoyed both the interior of the palace and the surrounding gardens. As a horseback rider, I loved the stables as well.

Before I left the city of Munich, the chance of visiting this beautiful castle is worth the freezing winter cold. Clad in winter jacket with an aching feet brought about by a tiring city tour on my first day in the city, waking up early amidst the sleepless night, taking the tram and walking few miles just to reach this...
