This church was overwhelming with all of the decoration and embellishment. Close to the Ubahn and worth the effort.

This baroque beauty is darker than most, probably because it is a penitential church. The decoration is lush, and the total effect is a bit overwhelming. One the whole I prefer the lighter-coloured baroque churches, such as Vierzehnheiligen, Ottobeuren, Aldersbach and the Wieskirche, but the...More

It was one of the most impressive Baroque church we saw in Europe. The Asam Church facade is really beautiful and once you step foot inside it's breathtaking. Rich in details inside, it will be difficult to stay just a few minutes. We were mesmerized...More

Walking down Sendlinger, came upon Asam Church in the middle of the block. Overwhelming inside with detail. Found it to be the most interesting church we saw in Munich.

Free to go there, be amazed in its beautifully made Baroque style with the two brothers architecturally designed an eccentric place like this.

This was a quick stop as we could only visit the entrance. There was a gate up but we could look inside. It was surprisingly beautiful because the outside is quite plain.

We were told the Asam Church designed by the Asam Brothers was their most magnificent design. It is amazing. The colors are incredibly vibrant and the art so beautiful it feels like you are in another world.
