The original rooms are fascinating quite dark both physically and artistically. Downstairs there is a self portrait of the artist with wings and halo. Upstairs an alter with the painting 'The Sin' of a wan temptress - so all very symbolic and atmospheric. The guide...More

This house with its studio is redolent of the world glimpsed in the fiction of Thomas Mann and Herman Hesse. Its presrvation is to be applauded. Original art, original furniture. An intriguing book shop. Cafe for refreshment. Sadly lacking English language material.

Quality not quantity. Just a few rooms but they are meticulously conceived and created. Nice little cafe and bookshop too.

Great example of this genre. Well done exhibits, however rooms are dark and not many of his works are present. The most pleasant part of the visit was the walk down Prinzregentenstrasse from the U-bahn station.

The Villa shows in meticulous details the mis en scène of one of Munich's premier artist-princes. The sumptuous decor, the somber choice of colours, the reference to, and reverence of, antiquity will bring smiles to the 21st century visitor. It also drives home however, that...More

A perfectly kept mansion from the Art-Deco era containing countless sculptures, paintings and furniture from the period. Situated in an unlikely location amidst the city hustle and bustle. Best reached by mass -transportation due to virtually non-existent parking. Well worth the visit for fans of...More

This is such a cool place! I love art and art history, though this was the first time I'd ever heard of the artist Stuck. The whole house is a work of art- the artist stayed true to himself, which I find so completely inspiring....More
