This formerly small and provincial museum acquired overnight fame as in 1957 Kandinsky's widow pledged his collection and a lot of other works. The represent the works of The Blue Riders. Amazing and beautiful collection.

One of the best museums i have been to if not the best with good collection of blue rider. I recommend this in case you are in munich. A great way to know about bavaria art.

Excellent collection. A must for the fans of "Der blaue Ritter"! Take your kids there and show them something extraordinary - free entrance for under 18.

Highly recommend this gallery. Excellent collection of Bleue Rieter works and beautifully presented and curated floors. The old studio of Lenbach is inside. He must have been v successful to have had such a palatial home!
