We enjoyed watching the surfers, my kids really wanted to try it out! There were some young surfers, but they clearly knew what they were doing.

Young boys and girls (and a few older folks too) line up on either side of the “wave” alternating turns. Some jump on their boards in the air and others are more cautious getting on the wave. They ride and show their tricks and wipeout,...More

This was an unexpected surprise during our visit. We were not aware of its existence until we saw it during a bike tour. It's fun to watch the surfers queue up to take their turn and show their stuff.

Could not quite believe that this exists - last saw it in the snow earlier this year and there were still 6 surfers getting in and out of the wave - made for some interesting video footage!

We didn't expect to see expert surfers in a canal in Munich, but there they are. It is really fascinating to watch.

A surfing wave in the middle of the city, formed by a river is a rare thing. Seeing all the adept surfers enjoying it is really pretty cool. My son, 14 was a bit too intimidated by it. Most were wearing wet suits and some...More

If was throughly refreshing to see the surfers do their thing in at Eisbach wave. There is also a waterfall close to the waves which shouldn't be missed

This is an exceptional place, aware where the Munich surfers follow their passion even in winter when its freezing cold. I love to stop and watch them for a while when I am nearby.
