People surfing here all day, all seasons. Amazing example if human flexibility to environment. I wouldn't do it yourself if you you are not a pro surfer - looks dangerous.

As a surfer, I was amazed with the surfer's ability. And beyond this, his courage because was so cold and all of them was so happy and enjoying. A lot of people was watching and have fun together. Very cool place.

One of the best atractions in Munich. The surfers fight a long years for this hobby. Now hier are coming many Surfers from around the World just to surf, for funn. They have their own Movie, and they are happy to surf even in Winter. See it to believe it. Wach videos Online.

You must see this. The river is already incredible to look at but the people who surf on the ways? Just amazing. Especially nice during the night. There are big spotlights, so you can see the young people surfing on the waves, a hell lot of fun.

Even on a cold winter’s day you’ll be able to watch one or more surfers showing their skills mastering the Eisbach wave. On the Pinzregentenstrasse the Eisbach, the strongest side arm of the Isar river, emerges from under a bridge. It is there that an artifical wave of about 1 meter height has been created. During our week’s stay in... More

Ever thought your would see surfing in Munich? Well, this point of the tunnel where the river flows into the English Garden provides a great place for locals to surf. It is just as entertaining for tourists to take a break before going into the English Garden to watch the surfers having some fun. Eisbach Wave is on the edge... More

Another must see if you are visiting Munich! I can't surf myself but it was so cool to watch! What was even more bonkers was that they were doing it in the snow and minus temperatures!! The englischer garten itself is also beautiful !

A manmade wave in the English garden that local surfers can enjoy even though the real coast is quite a ways away. A must see spot if you are visiting Munich given its uniqueness.

This is a fantastic place to catch some waves or at least watch the local surfers battle the waves on the river.

I'm a long time surfer so this attraction was on the top of my list to see. All I can see is, these guys are super talented and very resourceful to find such a fun wave in the middle of Munich. I took 100's of pics and sat there for hours watching. Surf enthusiast or not, go check this out.... More
