The Palace of Justice are two courthouses and administrative buildings of Munich, just opposite the old botanical gardens. It's a lovely example of neo-Baroque architecture. The building is located in a beautiful setting opposite the park and makes picture perfect photos especially with the Neptune fountain in the frame. On the roof of the building, on the pediment stands the statue of Lady Justice, flanked by Innocence and Vice.

Lovely building.

An impressive building that is worth taking the 10 minutes it takes to cross the road to get to see. Also worth seeing from both sides.

This huge courthouse is under extensive renovation. As an active court, it is also not really open for tours.

Palace of Justice dominates the west side of the famous Karlsplatz Square (Stachus). The walking distance from Marienplatz (Mary's Square) is about 900 metres. This magnificent neo-baroque gem of the city of Munich was constructed between 1890 and 1897. Worth a visit!

Justizpalast is the Palace of Justice in Munich. This building still houses the Bavarian Ministry of Justice and parts of the Regional Court.

The palace was built in 1887 and the architecture was built in the neo-baroque style. Both the exterior of the building and the interior decoration is very impressive and nice to look at.

Even though it is a government building, it open to the public for free. Do remember to get the free pamphlet at the entrance as it provides useful information regarding the building.

Do remember to visit court room 253 as the White Rose trials took place here.

The Palace of Justice was one of the first things we saw leaving the Munich train station. Unfortunately, much of its beauty was covered by scaffolding.

A landmark building in Munich is Justizpalast (Palace of Justice) at Karlsplatz. This is a courthouse complex constructed near the end of the 19th century in Neo-Baroque manner.

Having survived WWII almost fully intact, Justizpalast provides a nice opportunity of architecture that was popular at that time. We quite enjoyed viewing the tall, decorative facades. Nice statue figures can be seen atop the Avant-corps of the building while small obelisks are situated atop its four corners.

It is an impressive building exterior to view. If skies are blue, it is a nice landmark building to photograph as well. We didn't realise a visit to the inside was possible until after our trip. That has been saved for our next visit to Munich.

Note: It is also worth spending a few minutes to enjoy the Neues Justizgebaude (New Palace of Justice) building right next door. This is a brown brick, Neo-gothic style building with impressive step gables and a great clock face.

One of the few historic 19th century buildings to survive WW2 bombing, this is a fine example of the architecture of that era.

Unfortunately it was too early in the day to go inside but other reviewers have mentioned the famous courtroom where the White Rose group were tried.
