Tiergarten Nuremberg is set in an extraordinary and unique landscape. By taking a walk through the large, densely wooded park the visitors discover open-air enclosures skilfully fitted into the red sandstone of the region. Watch dolphins and sea lions swim and play in the open air at the Dolphin Lagoon. Explore life at the Amazon, complete with rainfall periods, at the Manatee House. Go to the Blue Saloon with its vast panorama windows and experience the fascinating underwater world of both manatees and dolphins. Children will love the Kinderzoo, where they can pet animals and discover a lot more...

This zoo is a jewel of Nurenberg, rivals with zoo's of much bigger cities around the world. The set-up is perfect, there are many animal species, a big aquarium, dolphins, penguins, tigers, lions, a great monkeys court and another one for apes, excellent playgrounds (even...More

The zoo was only about 15 minutes from the center by tram, and admission was great value for the size of the zoo. The location is incredible, was amazing walking through the wood with the zoo built into it. The hills might be hard work...More

This zoo is lovely and large with a wide variety of animals including manatees, dolphins and polar bears which are unusual to see in a zoo in the UK. We visited on a very cold snowy day so the animals weren’t very active but still...More

Easy to go to with tram or bus outside the main train station. It takes you from 3 to 4 hrs to visit. A nice sea lion and dolphin show. Lots of animals to see. Well worth a visit

It's rather far away. No way to walk from the train station to the zoo as you would waist the whole morning on the way. The best thing to do is to take tram number 5, whose final stop is right in front of the zoo entrance... More
