Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A beautiful city, great market place, lots of history. We were lucky enough to visit whilst a market was on. Covid restrictions were being enforced, wearing of masks and observing a one way system.

Great time we really enjoyed it. The trains in Bavaria were very reasonable. We bought the Byran Day pass at 17 euros each and it was good to travel to Munich, Salsburg Austria and even Southern Bavaria.

Walking in the Alstadt within the walls you have little idea of the larger city outside. While its not all pedestrian much is. Split by the river the Alstadt has plenty to offer from sights, museums, and a plethora of restaurants.

Visited in Sept. '19 and Aug. '16. Anyone visiting Nuremburg should definitely spend at least and hour or two visiting the Old Town section.
While Nuremburg, before WWII one of the most beautiful cities in Germany and Europe was leveled by allied bombing during WWII, they did a very good job of restoring many of the buildings and churches to close to their original look and structure.
There are many beautiful churches here like St. Lorenz and the Frauenkirche (main square) as well as the renovated Nuremburg Castle on the hill. If you have time, there is an old medieval clock tower on the front face of Frauenkirche in the main square that does a short 5-10 minute performance daily.

This area was a good 20 minute walk from our hotel but we went there twice a day. Stunning buildings like you’ve never seen before and all in immaculate condition. This is made even more remarkable by the fact that 90% of the inner city was destroyed by the RAF in one hour during the Second World War!
We had a map attended just a walk around and get lost so we found some really interesting places. What was useful was I downloaded an interactive guide on my phone which told you a great deal about with history of the buildings.
This will be one area for improvement as there is some but not enough information about the history of the city. Make sure your camera off phone is fully charged as he will be taking lots of photographs!

Lovley historic Altstadt area,,with Castle onthe hill, and historic buildings,,like the Albrecht Dürer Haus.Worth doing a scenic walk around the old part of twon,,with many good guestgardens/Biergardens and cafes,,shops along the way.
Its a steep walk up to the castle,,so wear good walking shoes.
I can also recommend the walk along the Town walls, and the Handwerker or craft market. For Tea I can recommend the Nassauer Keller,,an old historic cellar restaurant,,which has the best Schnitezl ever.Theyre very steep stairs going down intothe restaurant,,inthe cellar of a historic building.

We had a day trip to Nuremberg from Frankfurt and loved every minute. We did the Reichsparteistaggelände first by tram and then spent the rest of the day wandering around the Old Town. It is beautiful. Part of the Christmas market was open with the rest opening soon (25 November). A stunning place and well worth a visit.

This is a very nice tour to undertake by walking. There are many scenic bridges over the Pegnitz River which winds it's way through Nurnberg. Buildings have been built on bridges to take advantage of the ability to connect with the other side of the river commercially.

Nuremberg is a clean city with very good and easy transportation facilities. There are many historical churches, museums and buildings in the area closed to traffic in the city center. While we were walking around on November 29th, lighting works were continuing in this area as Christmas preparations would start on December 1st. The night sparkle and color riot of the completed businesses was very beautiful. It's a pleasant area.

I want to go from Nürnberg Airport to center of Erlangen and I'm wondering about the bus options. There is one app that shows travel options from Nürnberg Airport to Erlangen but there is no train line names or bus names etc. If I can get any help, I would appreciate that.
