Been to quite a lot of museums around the UK and Europe and can honestly say that I did not think this was anything special. It was very average, in fact I would say the most impressive part of the museum is the building itself....More

So much to discover at this probably too easily overlooked museum (if the number of visitors on a Saturday morning is a good enough indicator) but so easy to learn so much since meticulously, every item is described simply yet effectively (in both German and...More

This is amazing museum. Great works of art, founded in mid XIX century. This museum worth a special trip to Nurnberg.

Having been to the series of excellent museums in Berlin (esp National History museum), I was curious how the Nurnberg museum would measure. Although totally different in feel, and layout - this museum almost invites and encourages the visitor to 'get lost and explore'. It...More

This museum is absolutely amazing. When you enter, the main area is full of light, very welcoming and the back wall is covered with old street signs. The price of admission was 8 € each. There are works of art by Rembrandt, Dürer and many...More

Nuremberg is a nice and Cousy city but within a couple of hours, all the sightseeing will be done done. Therefore nothing better than the German national museum for a break. The design thinking forward mentality mixed with a great renaissance and barroco art collection,...More

Huge museum, worth choosing the areas you want to see. I followed the advice of a previous traveller and marked my route on the plan, which I found very useful. I spent 3 hours there, but was museumed out! A lot more to see on...More

It is about 10 minutes from Augustinerstrasse. You have to go in direction Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) and on the way you will find a guidepost to the museum.
