This is a huge, beautiful gothic medieval church, just off the main square, right next to Lorenzkirche U-bahn station, logically enough!

It is so sad to see what the carpet bombing in WWII did. It is equally as impressive to see what the citizens of Nuremberg did to bring beauty back to their city. This church shows both aspects of this city so well.

This impressive cathedral lies just off the main square and is an imposing beautiful structure that is a must to visit. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. Beautiful church with one of the largest church organs in Germany. Take your time to enjoy the splendor. Information panels are in German and English. Located right in the middle of the shopping area. Entry is free but they ask for donations to maintain the church.

Beautiful stained glass window -horrendous to think this beautiful structure -like so many others sadly -was devastated by bombing
