If you are good at imagining how things might have been 70 some years ago, this is a good place to go. The city still uses these parade grounds for concerts, etc. and they were in the process of setting up for something when we...More

After visiting the 'Dokumentationszentrum' I made the trek, round the lake, to this historic monument. I feel that this item is probably the most documented when referring to the rallies held by the Nazi party. Although the field itself was preparing for a function you...More

I had seen pictures of this place before I travelled and hoped that it still retained that rally ground feel. I wasn't disappointed, still felt like a place where hundreds of thousands of people could be accommodated - despite the trunk storage and race track....More

We went to Zeppelinfeld as part of a city tour. I don’t think I would have gone there if it had not been part of something else. This is where the Nazi rallies were held so it has significant historical relevance in a very negative...More

We walked from the documentation center to the field. Took about 10 min, but it was mostly in the shade and paved along the lake. No cost. You can climb as much as you wish and stand where Hitler stood. There were workers there preparing...More

Enough is left to gauge the scale of the past use of this area and a good guide can bring this to life. Very much in a raw state.

Very historic area to visit. This place however doesn't quite look like the photos since a few areas were torn down/demolished following the war. One can however stand at the spot where Hitler stood to give his speeches.

Although this area is free to visit I would recommend visiting the Dokumentationszentrum first to remind yourself of he context. The museum also contains lots of propaganda footage shot here. The intent and scale of this is quite shocking just as a physical manifestation of...More

Creepy to visit and definitely a stain left behind from a time humanity would rather forget. But, if you are a student of history, particularly Work War II, then this is a must see. One of the very few remaining such sites left. It's FREE....More
