I was here for the Thurn & Taxis private Christmas market on a cruise this past December. Since it was FRIGID outside I decided to spend part of my 2 hour visit to T&T doing the palace tour (aka heated, indoor). It was FASCINATING! I...More

I lived across the street from the palace for a week while doing academic music research in their music archives. I took the castle tour and treasury tour and both were fantastic. The Palace is amazing--be ready for a long tour and the jewels in...More

The Christmas Market at Thurn & Taxis Palace was the most beautiful Christmas market in Germany. It was not over crowded and offered a great variety of food and hand crafted goods. We did not have the chance to do a formal tour of Turn...More

Just got back from visiting the castle and the Christmas Market. It was our 11th market this season and definitely the best. We also had a tour of the castle which was very interesting since the family still lives there.

The palace grounds is home to the Romantic Christmas Market. I went on a Saturday and entry was € 9.50. It doesn’t feel like any of the other markets I’ve visited. The merchants offered a high grade of product and it seemed like the artisans...More

We enjoyed our tour of the Palace. Tour guide was wonderful. We used the included audio guide and she still gave us extra bits in various rooms. History of the family and palace is interesting. We took the long tour to see all of it....More
