Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great experience. Climbing the stairs of the tower was a great experience, it really felt I was back in time. Once at the top the views of the city were magnificent. I for sure recommend you visit!

Why not walk the 260 stairs up to the top of the Perlach tower for a great view over all directions of the city ? Close to the top you will be asked to pay 1,50 Euro for going to the top just under the bells but it is well worth it. You can not get a better overview from anywhere else in the area.

The view over Augsburg from the Perlachturm is great. The entrance can be a bit hard to find - it's on the side of the church, where you only wonder if it's a door left open. The ticket office is just below the top of the tower, so you have to climb quite a bit to get there.
There climb is steep and narrow, so go one by one and catch your breath. It's probably not the thing if you're afraid of heights.

I loved the Perlach tower. The walk up is just enough to make you feel like you have done some exercise, great view from the top. Pretty cheap, 2 € or around that per person with a nice little display of wartime germany on the way up.

Perlach Tower is a historic building that is certainly worth seeing. The walk up the circular staircase to the top is a bit of an effort that when at the top you encounter a "ticket taker" that charges a few Euros. At the top you are in the bell tower with excellent views of the city. I highly recommend this experience.

Looking forward to the great city view, but on June 10, 2018 a sign on the door says its closed for cleaning. The tourist office is just across the main plaza so we asked about its opening date. Per signage in the tourist office and the tourist representative, its closed at least until Spring of 2019...maybe even longer "it's not in great shape, and the renovation may take up to three years!" Was hoping for an alternative; but sadly great views will have to wait.

It has 258 steps to the top! But you are rewarded with a stunning view on a good day. Pictures on the way up depict the damage inflicted during the war. If you are familiar with the city and surrounding areas it gives a fabulous overview of the whole area

Even though I lived in Augsburg many years ago, I never visited this place. The views are amazing. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs which are narrow at some points. It is worth going on just to be able to see the city.

I passed by the tower everyday when i went to Augsburg and i never ggot tired of watching it. Its architecture is magnificent. People loves to go there and chill in the front open area after work/school in the evening.

This tower will guide you to the center of Augsberg. When you see it, you know you are there! It's worth to go to the top and appreciate the view over the city.
