Like stepping back in time. Very quiet and restful visit. Be sure to make dinner reservations for your meal.

Dinkelsbuhl may not be as well known as its neighbour Rothenburg, but the town centre is equally beautiful and easier to walk around. The walls are intact (although you cannot walk on top as you can at Rothenburg). But there are lovely walks all around...More

We were on our way to Rothenburg but stopped to check out this town first. we became so enamored by it that we unfortunately had to cut our visit to Rothenburg short. It was just so pleasant walking the streets of this small walled city...More

Great little walled German town that is easy and fun to explore. There's not a whole lot to do but great for a quick stop.

An absolutely beautiful German Medieval town. Well set out, clean and safe. Absolutely perfect for the Christmas Season. The buildings are all lit up with Christmas lights and it could be another time all together. Well done to the businesses and occupants. It is beautiful.

Dinkelsbühl is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Germany, since it was spared the destruction in both the Thirty Years War and World War II. The best way to enjoy it is simply to walk around the cobbled streets and take in the...More

Drove the Romantic Road in August. This was one of our favourite villages of the trip. Straight out of a Grimm's Fairy Tale. Cobblestone streets, friendly folks and a very peaceful atmosphere. The houses and businesses are rendered in late Renaissance facades with pastel colours...More
