We went to St. George's for Easter Mass, which was wonderful. The organ music was spectacular. Mass was in German of course. We felt like part of the town.

The church itself is a Gothic beauty, but nothing can beat the unobstructed views from the bell tower (the entrance is from the outside, just to the left of the church entrance).

History abounds in this 15th Century Church. Gothic in nature with the traditional pointed arches. Famed as one of Germany's largest "Hall Churches". It has highly decorated altars and tall pillars supporting the single roof-line. Massive in nature but delicate and full of light. Hunt...More

This is an absolute MUST SEE. Take your time and feast on the architecture and workmanship that went into building one of the most beautiful wide-aisled late Gothic churches in South Germany back in 1448-1499.

We found this church to be fairly typical for Germany and Europe, except that it isn't over-the-top lavish. Our most memorable part was climbing the tower (accessed for €1,50 ea. on the exterior left side of the main entrance of the church). The views overlooking...More

One of many churches on the romantic road to visit, but worth a visit to take in the interior scenery and colour

I climbed the church tower to view the town and its wall. Unfortunately, the tower isn't tall enough to provide the effect. Good exercise. So-so view. But we did get to meet the cat who lives at the top.

€2 to climb the tower. The entrance is to the left outside of the main church. The climb is steep and dizzying. But the views are worth the cost and climb.

Large church in center of town. Nice change from the overdone churches of a later period. Try climbing the tower.
