One of the best walks along the walls. The Tourist Office has a map with the suggested route, in order to visit all the landmarks. Takes around 75 min.

This wall is unique in Bavaria. The walk under the roof of the wall will take one hour in a relaxed way. The 5 towers have its own stories and the guided tour in the evening is a recommendation for more interested people in the...More

Nördlingen is built inside a depression that is the remnant of an ancient impact crater. Thus, the city walls form an almost perfect circle around the old city. These medieval walls are largely intact (or restored), and one can walk along the entire length of...More

Free to walk round and offers great views of the town . Uneven surfaces and steps make it unsuitable for some people and there wee places where we had to miss sections due to some restoration work taking place. Free to walk round with WC...More

Nordlingen is a very pleasant town and visiting the surrounding wall and walk along some length if not the complete circle is a must. Somewhere in one of the exits is a most beautiful rose garden, with a wonderful fragrance all around.

Very nice walk around this little city. This town walk is completely covered so you don't need to worry bout the weather. This walk offers nicest spots for pictures than the one in Rothenburg. I suggest to go early in the morning or in the...More

It's a cool city wall of about 4.5 km length, mostly (but not entirely) covered, so you can enjoy it at any time of year. It is somewhat narrow and has frequent stairs, which makes it hard for people that are less able to walk....More

We were really looking forward to walking the entire length of these ramparts but ran out of time so we were only able to walk between 3 of the wall towers -- the short section that we did walk was most enjoyable! The walking surface...More
