Completely walled and on a hilltop, this town is stunningly beautiful. It is an absolute delight to wander its small streets and discover beautiful medieval houses and buildings. There are also a number of Christmas decoration stores as Rothenburg is famous for its Christmas Market....More

What a charming town. We only stayed one night but should have stayed 2 so we could do more things. The town walls are amazing and the old architecture gives it that really old world and medieval feeling. So glad we got to visit. There...More

A very picturesque old town. Not just a few street or blocks, but a whole city. Worth a day of strolling around taking in the sights.

This is a great place, just out of a book, a fairytale... I would say the best site in Germany for tourists to see an old beautiful and in original condition city A must see if you are only going for one time in Germany

The old town is a real jewel, finely restored and maintained, in the centre of Baviera. Surrounded by old walls, inside there are several ancient buildings, and the old cathedral of St.Jakub. It deserves a half day visit, simply walking along the streets, and breathing...More

I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed exploring the old town! We need to come back when it’s a bit warmer. :-)

There is a nice view of the town and the valley below just past the gates of the Old Town. We watched the sunset here and it was really pretty at night too.

The town stone walls are the largest I have ever seen. They still surround the whole Old Town and you can explore them. Go upstairs!

This town looks like a dool's house. All the buildings are nicely decorated and there are the characteristic timbered houses. A place that must be seen. It does not take too long to walk around... Highly recommended!

The Palace in Wurzburg is very impressive, plus it has a very ornate side chapel. The Castle is a very long climb for your buck. The town is a regular town with a nice bridge and some photo ops. Rothenburg ob der Tauber... More
