We went here on the winter month, when the sky was grey. The cold was not a problem. but the grey sky during winter made this place looked a bit gloomy. However, if it had been in a summer month,it would have looked vey nice with the trees, and flowers, and the roses garden overlooking the fortress on the hill.... More

Lovely grounds and fabulous frescoes. The main entry staircase frescoes were saved by "the monuments men" during WWII. Tarps were placed to preserve this magnificent art. The palace is empty, no furniture, but plenty to see. There are elevators, but walking up the staircase is the best! We were there in Nov., so there weren't any crowds.

The palace and gardens are amazing. The attraction starts with the most beautiful entrance with fountain. We wanted to see other attractions in Wurzburg but were captivated by the castle, the art, the gardens, the history and ran out of time to see anything else. It was well worth it.

We love to look around palace, so buy a ticket to get in. €7.5 per adult, one euro discount for student ID. There are several famous painting on the ceiling and luxurious rooms you can enjoy. But what I recommend more is the garden of this palace. So beautiful and decent place to relax. Even it's for free.

Definitely worth the time to visit with a reasonable entry fee and if you check the times a guided English speaking tour is included

The Tour is good for people interested in historical sites and castles (Schlösser). However I would have expected more historical furniture and accessories inside the rooms. Its mainly just the walls you can see and being informed about. However, those are impressive.

Wow! This is definitely a must see. A UNESCO World Heritage Site too. Prepare yourself to be gobsmacked by this ornate palace with frescoes, plaster marbles, crystal chandeliers, inlaid wooden floors, and gilded reliefs exquisitively executed by the master of stucco ornamentation, Antonio Bossi and the Venetion fresco master, Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Bags must be checked in a locker unless... More

This has to be the highlight of a visit to the city. I highly recommend waiting for the guider tour, as we took the English one and it was very interesting. The guide explained diferent paintings and rooms, and it is already included in the entrance ticket.
