Must see for the inside

Many castles and places are not as grand as the exterior. In this case the interior is better than the exterior. Put this on your must see list for Wurzburg!!

Try to get internal access in order to appreciate the enormity of this building. The architecture is intriguing in some of the main halls.

A beautiful historical home, in the heart of Wurzburg. This is called a Residenz but seemed more like a Palace.

If you visit this palace, definitely join one of the free guided tours! The frescos in the main stairway was epic, the animals depicted were almost lively. The decorated rooms are as impressive as the stairway. The room covered with gold and mirrors was stunning!

When we arrived there was cold and heavy snow, all the doors were closed and there was almost any information about the entrance. So after we try a lot of closed doors, we find a board of entrance just in front of a door, that was closed- we open and voila finally the entrance. The building is in reform, the... More

The Baroque architecture is something a bit different. The grand staircase and paintings are one of the OMG moments. We went here to kill the time before our train to Berlin but ended up having an amazing visit. UNESCO listed

One of a kind palace that will leave you in awe of the opulence. Check out the chapel with its Rococo interior and the vast staircase to the palace. Serious money was spent on this place and Napoleon slept here as well!

We went here on the winter month, when the sky was grey. The cold was not a problem. but the grey sky during winter made this place looked a bit gloomy. However, if it had been in a summer month,it would have looked vey nice with the trees, and flowers, and the roses garden overlooking the fortress on the hill.... More
