A huge church, but with little to see inside. The interior is uniformly white - most unusual for a church in this part of Germany. A quick visit is all that's needed as the interior is so bare.

Antonio Petroni was the master who built this baroque church. Unfortunately in WW II the inner part was completely destroyed. The only remaining is a wonderful altar painting by Tiepolo.

Haug Monastery was "Mother" of the parishes St Gertraud, St Joseph and St Barbara in Würzburg. The unprotected monastery, located out of the city, was fragile in difficult times, often looted and damaged in the thirty years war. Swedish soldiers started demolition of the Church....More
