(Reuererkirche / Karmelitenkirche). The one nave, barrel-vaulted Church was built in 1662 and was the first Baroque church of Würzburg (architects J.B. van der Driesken and Antonio Petrini). The Carmelites church with its Baroque Tower belonged previously to the former monastery of the repentant Holy Magdalena also named as "Zu den Reuerinnen" or "Reurerkirche". After those the Discalced Carmelites made their entrance. Approximately 500 people survived the bombing in the spacious crypt under the Church, where during the inferno a child was born. In 1958 the Church got simple furnishings and borrowed paintings from the Bavarian State paintings collection. 1967 A public altar was founded.
