In Berlin for five days, I looked long and hard for a workout place to supplement jogging and the hotel's small exercise room. BeCycle turned out to fit the bill very well. I took two of their 45 minute HIIT classes (not cycling) and they certainly made you work up a sweat. The sessions involved moves that would be familiar to most Americans who participate in group fitness classes: burpees, push-ups, high-knees, lunges, work with light dumbells and rubber bands - you get the idea. But it was a distinct program each day - good for variety. I liked that on one of the days we did some sprinting outside, simply by running around the block. Classes take place in English and "the crowd" seemed multinational and certainly friendly. Our instructors were great: motivating and exacting but also supportive. It is reasonably close to the center of town and accessible via public transport, or you can add a run there and back (which I did). Will definitely go back on my next trip to Berlin.

I can't say ENOUGH about the team here! I took a bunch of high school girls to Berlin, and they wanted to do something to workout. Here, they provided great service (in English as well as German--and Spanish), and also had shoes, water and smoothies! Great service online to book seats and reserve. Prices slightly less than SoulCycle/Flycycle in the states. Great workout from David! Girls and I (all SoulCycle pros) were impressed and sweaty :)

I read about Becycle on a blog when I was looking for a place to work out when on vacation. Couldn't have been happier to find this place. Upscale studio with prices slightly cheaper than the US. Great service. The cycle class was really fun, great music, lights are fun and makes it feel like you're in a club. Great amenities and awesome smoothies next door that are ready when you're done class if you order ahead. I wish I lived in Berlin because I'd be a regular at this studio!

I was looking for a gym to join on my year abroad but had problems because a lot have a minimum contract of a year. Luckily I found Becycle and I've been a member of Becycle for a few months and I can honestly say it's incredible. All the instructors are so dedicated and motivational, the classes are small enough to feel personal yet big enough for there to be a great atmosphere. The cycling studio is stylish with flashing lights and mirrors. There is also a 'refine' room where you can do HIIT, barre and yoga classes which are really challenging but effective. Becycle is open every day and you don't have to be a member to go, you can book classes individually so it's also great for people travelling. All the classes are in English also. There's also a really nice cafe next door. It's just generally a great place to workout and I'd really recommend it. It's more expensive than a regular gym but it's worth it because you get a better workout. They also have different options so you can buy a 'series' of a certain number of classes and in some cases they give you half the money back if you go regularly enough. Becycle and its great instructors are genuinely one of the things I'll miss the most when I leave Berlin.
