Good places are disappearing in Prenzlauer Berg but this is still a gem. A place for a drink with friends or to come dancing in the small annex. Always busy, it is almost becoming an institution

We were looking for great cocktails. This was not the place to go. Good dive bar with ping pong but just a place for that and beer. Bartender was cranky

One of the last authentic east Berlin bars in Prenz'l Berg. It's open since 1936, smoke friendly, nice music, nice people. If you are trying to avoid hype, it's a good place to go.

We visited August Fengler on new years eve. We ordered a drink and have been there for maybe 5 minutes, as 2 big tatooed guys walked in, and started charging all the guest 4 euros, just for beeing there. Blown away by the "mob-like" behaviour,...More
