I love anatomy museums and this one didn't let me down. I really liked collection of human organs in different diseases. Too bad not all had English labels so had to use google tranlate a lot as we also wanted to learn. Easy to get...More

Having been to Berlin on a few occasions, we decided to go for some of the more non-touristy attractions. I saw some of the museum photos online and was quite curious, so we made a point of coming to the medical history museum in Berlin....More

This was a very interesting place to visit, slightly morbid because of Virchow's jar collection with diseases and deformities; but an introduction to the relevance of Virchow's extraordinary work.

Got us totally by surprise. We went inside, not knowing what to expect. Once you enter your first thought is "ok this is going to be lame at best". But then, you get to the floor that showcases canned and preserved organs, limbs and even...More

This museum comes on more floors inside the medicine faculty university of Berlin. On the first floor you can find the criminology floor where you'll see some reconstructions of crime scenes, or all stories about some famous killings. On the other floors you will find...More

Visited the Charité museum with its temporary forensic exhibition. Found latter quite interesting. The standard exhibition mainly shows real conserved body parts/organs. Next to the history of medical science in general an at the Charité itself, these exhibits are very fascinating for everyone minimally interested...More

This museum tries to cover the entire history of medicine but devotes too little time to each aspect. For example, Paul Ehrlich, who worked in Berlin and discovered the very first cure for a disease, is given just one small glass cabinet. Lots of topics...More

We had a really nice visit here. The changing exhibition about forensic research was very interesting. Also the normal exhibition was really nice, we saw some really cool artifacts. Clearly it's not for the faint of heart, but I think you know this when you...More

You have been warned! Very impressive collection of specimens of i.a. ridicously abnormal foetuses. Lots of pathology displays makes you grateful to be fresh and sound. As seems obligatory in Berlin there are chilling documents from Nazi euthanasia programs, etc. Also a very informative modern...More

I have visited a number of medical museums in Europe, and this was one of my favourite. It was incredible for me, as a physician, to see the theatre where Virchow lectured and to read about famous researchers from the Charite such as Robert Koch....More

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum
Island. The central location makes this one of the
city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
