    Beatiful place, climb up!
It pays 10 euros per person to visit, but Ibthink its worth of it. I came with my wife. Church itself is beatiful from inside, nice paintings and colours. It takes about 270 steps to climb to the highrt "balkany", but definately worth going. Just take your time, maybe one break for breath and suddenly you have done it. Stairs gets narrow on top. Beatiful views and excellent place to take pictures.

A must visit masterpiece in Berlin
Wonderful masterpiece, the luxurious architect inside, the statues, drawings, the organ, everything needs some time to stop by. The panoramic view upstairs is a wonderful unique experience where you can see Berlin from above while having a closer look at the angels on the dome. I really recommend it.

    Beauty Personified
Unbelievable Building. Beauty Personified. Magical. Owe-Inspiring. Wonder. Thought-Provoking. That's just some of the words that come to mind when you first walk into the Berliner Dom, look up and see the roof. It's an amazing Cathedral in general, we've been to a few, in the UK and all around the world but this was something special. I loved the Alter area with the red and gold and Christmas Tree. We even decided to climb the 264 steps to the roof to get 360 panoramic views of Berlin. Whilst on holiday we've done a few views but this was, by far, the best. Every single angle you got a different picture. Something different to look at. Well worth the climb.

A monumental building with five green domes
A monumental building with five green domes in the middle of Museum Island. The richly decorated facade and impressive interiors are a real treat for the eyes. Like many of the city's attractions, the cathedral suffered catastrophically during the Second World War. After a lengthy restoration, it was reopened to public viewing only in 1993. The temple is active and is closed to tourists at the beginning of services. However, you can visit it as a parishioner.

    Small cathedral with nice dome
A fascinating church building. Was surprised at how new it was. Not among the largest cathedrals in Europe, and not as much art as one might hope for. Very nice trip up in the dome with a good view of Berlin.

Climb to the dome if you can!
This was a stunning cathedral with an amazing phoenix like history. The final restoration was not completed until after the millennium. It was cheap to get in and an adventure awaited- a climb up to the cathedral dome via increasingly rickety staircases! I felt a bit out of breath by the top so take your time! A great combination of history, views and exercise.

Huff and Puff to the top.
Well worth the climb but a bit expensive to huff and puff. Must see for the close up view of statues and intricate work. Photos of Berlin skyline are excellent. Take your time both up and down.

Stairs to the top and an actual mass
The stairs to the top offer unique and amazing views. You can see an actual mass here, this is a working church. I’m a 45 year old male in decent shape and was able to handle the stairs to the top.

    Lovely
With the Berlin welcome card you get 30% off the entry so it was €7 instead of 10. Machines for tickets clearly shown by signs where you can use lockers. But you don’t have to use them despite a sign saying please do so. No one said anything. Leaflets in English, German, Spanish and French. You can go up to the top of the dome but it is a one way(you go up, you can’t turn around)281 steps. Does take effort! There is a cafe as well.

    Awesome Acoustics!
We got a chance to visit briefly and enjoy a brief concert. It's amazing how the sound of the pipe organ fills and reverberates in this space! We got to contemplate the art while listening to the music. Thanks to the volunteers who made this happen!

The Berliner Dom is surely Berlin's most striking religious edifice. It stands on the Museum island, in the very center, just by the Spree river.
The Cathedral you see today in Neo Renessaince style dates back to late 19c as a Protestant Church, while it's roots (predecessors) are in the 15c when there was a Catholic chapel established. Throughout centuries it changed it's appearance 4 times.
There's an entrance fee of 6, 7 Euros (cannot remember exactly), which is quite just as the Dom doesn't receive any state or public funding, which is written at the entrance.
Paying it you support the Church, and you're allowed to visit all of it starting with magnificent interior with highly decorated altar and pipe organ.
Next you should descend to the crypt. Monumental sarcophagi of the Hohenzollern family (most important ruling dynasty of Berlin and Prussia) await you there - their kings, electors and their families laid in their final rest in highly decorated sarcophagi.
Save the best for last.
Climb the top of the Dome. Beware, for older or those not in a good condition this could be challenging - no elevator, but 250+ stairs.
But, up there it totally pays off: terrific 360' views of entire Berlin.

TIP: Berlin is a flat city with no high rises. So, there's no need to climb the TV tower which is pretty high, and the view due to that height is not clear or is in a distance.
From the Dom circular terrace the perception and proximity of other sights is much better. I've been on both, and believe me here's much better.
Count on 1-2 hrs for entire visit.

How I don’t like look on church and read about history this pleace is in my heart.
Amazing pleace. For 7€ (If I remember good) you can go inside where you found tombs, beautiful sculptures and you can go upstairs on Observation Tower and look on all Berlin.

During our visit to Berlin we visited several attractions and walked a lot, and I can say that this cathedral was the highlight of our trip, since despite not being as beautifully adorned as Roman churches, it was interesting, and we especially enjoyed our time on then roof and in the catacombs, learning a bit from the lives of Prussian kings and nobles.
The entry was 7eur I guess, and it was well worth it.
Why visit a tower spending a lot to get the same views as you can get from up here?

We visited Berlin Cathedral about mid day on a Friday and there was a service going on. The music made by the organ was just so beautiful. During the short service of about 20 min, we needed to be respectful and no photo taking was allowed

Tickets needed to be purchased from a machine - but the instructions were too clear. For adults, it costs €9 to enter, so just look out for the €9 tickets

We found the cathedral quite disappointing, for 7 euro we could see only the inside of the cathedral which is not that big. Going to the top or checking the museum out was not available due to corona. Well then the price should be way lower. There are way more impressive churches which cost much less or nothing such as the Cologne cathedral. I would find the price of 7 euro only justified if we could have the full access to all facilities. My conclusion: do not go there.

Spent a rainy day in here and well worth a visit.
Despite the rain we were able to walk around outside to take in the views of the city.
Very easy to access and good information from guides.
My only complaint was the requirement to pay to use the toilets! There are many donation boxes around the cathedral requesting support for different areas and we were happy to donate on top of the admission charge but I think free facilities is not much to ask especially as if you use the cafe inside there is still a requirement to pay!

A Bach cantata with choir and orchestra, plus a special area to sit for English speakers, with real-time translation through headphones from a person sitting behind, are the reasons this is defined as outstanding.

The disappointment is the fact that you get thrown out a few minutes after the service has finished. If you want to enjoy the building as a tourist afterwards, you have to pay to come back in. Is that a Christian way to deal with genuine worshippers?! I've never experienced that before in other churches which are also recognised tourist attractions.

A beautiful and history rich building. We went at night without expecting to much. The price is fair and you get to go to the cathedral, the museum, the crypts and the lookout on the dome. If you go arround 18.00 they perform a small sermon (in German) that is quite beautiful. Although I'm nor relegius I apretiated a lot and get to hear the organ play in all its glory. Defenetly recommended.

This is the most beautiful Church i have ever seen and, is my favourite place in the whole world. Not only is it an amazing looking building on the outside but, it is also breathtaking when you get inside. The lovely white Marple and gold altar is so unique. There are 2 lovely trees to put candles on for your loved ones. The ceiling is painted heavenly which leaves you in ore as you stand in the middle of the church looking up. If you get a chance to join in the mass it is well worth it as you get to hear the most beautiful and, largest organ ever. There are also coffins of the past Kings and, Queens some beautifully covered in blue and, gold. There are even relatives of our beloved Queen Victoria underneath the church which you can go and, look at. In the summer this is the best place to be as it is lovely and cool inside especially underneath where the coffins are. I have been here 3 times now and this church is so beautiful I am unable to get a photo that honours it enough.

The entrance fee of 7e represented good value. Part of the building is under repair but that did not spoil the appearance and appreciation of the internal view of the cathedral. Take a look up at the high dome roof. I decided to climb the 267? steps to the top of the dome. Warning, the higher you go the narrower the stairs become and you reach a point where there is no turning back because of Covid restrictions it is one way up and one way down. It will test your breathing. At the summit you have a 360 degree view of the city plus the use of a telescope if required. You can see for miles but most of it is across roof tops.
