There is a great selection of world class paintings in this well appointed and beautiful gallery. A catalogue would be helpful but the staff answered all my questions politely. Really worth a visit.

Great pictures, well presented. Rembrandt, yan Steen, Vermeer, Franz Haals. A great collection! They did not have English pamplets to handle - it is a pity.

Never understood why this gallery is so quiet, it has an amazing collection beautifully laid out and a really helpful (free) audio guide.

Walk on to the last rooms, some of the real treats are there. Large collection of international masterpieces, limited choice of local paintings.

An awesome collection of early European paintings, covering all the main schools until about the 18th century. Big - you can easily spend half a day here. Just don't expect too much from the canteen....

I suppose I should really have known from the description of this gallery that it wouldn't be to my tastes, and maybe I would have got more out of the experience if I'd have had an audio guide, but I found this gallery a touch...More

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
