There were many acts to feast your entertainment palate, from hilarious to out right dangerously impressive. It's the smorgasbord. The venue looks like a 1920s bingo hall, in keeping with the theme of the night.
However, the food tasted like it was from the 1920, not in style, like it had been brought out from that era. Save yourself some money and spare your taste buds and eat before you come.

I went to the show called Forever young, which was a good mixture of music and a show. It is very nice inside, with all the red walls and ceiling with stars on it. The show was good and I very much enjoyed it. As for the sits, you can see things a lot better if you sit on the balcony. No point in paying for the first category seats, choose 2-3 for a better view. They also have a discount with the Berlin Welcome card (25%)

A real old time variety show with first class artistes - dancers, singers, magicians, acrobats, comedians, jugglers etc. The juggler was incredibly skilled.

We had a nice dinner and yhe ambience was and the whole ambience was great.

The cost may have been somewhat high at €89 euro per head especially for those from recession hit Ireland.

Anyway it was very good.

Several days ago we tried to purchase dinner show tickets to Breakin' Mozart online, but the website went to an error page after I hit submit payment. At that point we decided not to go as the seats we tried to buy (at the front of a table toward the front of the theater) showed as already purchased when we tried again. Since we did not receive an email confirmation, we assumed the purchase did not go through. Today, a half hour before the show, we happened to check our credit card statement online and noticed that the charge was on there. So I called the theater and they indicated we could not get a refund but that we could still come to the show and pick up the tickets at the ticket booth. The ticket booth helper said that it was not going to be a problem to get dinner even though we would be late.

So even though we were supposed to show up an hour early for the dinner package, we rushed there and were seated in our seats across from each other just a few minutes before the show started. When we sat down, one of the other guests at our table asked if we could switch seats to be side by side with our partners, as it was impossible to talk/hear across the table otherwise. We switched seats, and apparently this totally annoyed the server. She huffed for several minutes while moving our silverware and glasses, which we could have done ourselves had we known it was such a big issue. She brought us bread, soup and then a main course. She also brought us a bottle of water, but never asked us if we wanted anything else to drink. For some reason the main course was delivered about 5 minutes before the break and a few minutes later the server hovered over us and asked us if we were done twice, and said that she needed to bring the desserts during the break. Finally we gave her our plates even though we hadn't eaten about 1/2 of our dinner yet. During the break, the dessert plate, which was pretty large, came out. All the food was ok and I believe it came from the Lindner restaurant (according to the logo on the drink menu). After the show, we waited several minutes while our server stood around near the tables in the row in front of us. Finally I had to go ask her for our bill for our 7 euro water.

Based on the brochure we picked up at our hotel, I expected a show that was edgier and more fun. The show had some highlights, like the couple on the Chinese bars, the beatboxer, and the guy who juggled the diabolo, but most of the dancing (which is what I was most looking forward to) was boring and amateurish. The costumes were cheap looking and there was no diversity to the cast. I sort of felt like we were seeing a show from the 80s when break dancing was just becoming popular. There were very few modern moves and we've been way more inspired by watching ABDC (the amateur dance crew competition on American TV). In addition, elements from the storyline were just silly (the guys starting to fight when a girl walks in) and others were just thrown in for variety.

All in all, it was a disappointing experience that cost us US$235.

We did not know precisely what to expect having little information about the show beforehand. We selected it based on our prior knowledge of the rich history of the theater for high quality, variety entertainment. We were very happy with the choice.

We really enjoy the table-seating arrangement which makes it less formal and with greater flexibility to chat with table mates and audience members as well as to nest with your honey during the performance. The theater was spacious with lots of room between chairs and tables so there was no constant bumping into others. The theater interior decor was a good approximation of a more classic era. Additional benefactor support for upgrading of the decor materials and additional accessorization could make the venue truly elegant.

The menu selection of beers and wine was good and the food was delicious and well-presented -- NOT the usual theater fare of cardboard chicken and other unrecognizable "food" items. The wait staff tried to be unobtrusive during the performance but were difficult to flag down even during the intermission and after the performance.

The performance was excellent -- set in a post-WWII, German mental hospital. The concept of each of the "tenants" having individual limitations as well as outstanding talents in dance, acrobatics, juggling, singing was well done. The overall storyline was a bit weak (ultimately, Americans "to the rescue" for potential liberation from the dregs of confinement). But the individual performances were terrific whilst still maintaining a very strong sense of the actors being strongly committed to the intertwined/symbiotic relationships of the characters and the strength of the ensemble. This was NOT a usual variety show where everyone does their 7 minutes and then disappears into stage left. It was also very nice to be able to meet and chat with the artists in the theater foyer after the performance.

A very enjoyable evening....

Magic show was brilliant, really enjoyed it. Good place, atmosphere of another century, and very nice people. Also, nice music and signing.
Most of dialogues were on German, hope one day they will add creeping line with translation into English.
Special prices for students.

My wife and me enjoyed the show „Staunen“ . The first part was okay the second half was amazing, we loved the two guys from Cuba! The only negative aspect was the seating space impossible to relax and enjoy the show. Therefore just 4 Stars overall.

A great show and variete. Extremely good artist and a great show. A charming place with good ambience, good food and all in all a good experience. Beware that food not included in price and that one ought to be there (1900) 1 hour before show starts at 2000, if You are going to take dinner also.

So good to see that Wintergarten is back with all the charming features! There is so much more than the show! Every guest is welcome from the first moment and it is like travelling back in time! Although the commentaries were in German I am sure that foreign travellers can enjoy it! Artists from all over the world are perfoming! We will come back!
