This place is really historic and impressive. However it's next to a highway and it was extremely cold due to the canal next to it. (It was January when we visited).

Its art and history together - must visit while in Berlin! Also you get a nice long walk and see the one of the most iconic graffiti "The Kiss". Easy accessible by public transport.

I think I expected a bit more from the East Side Gallery. It is nice to see such a large part of the wall still in tact in order to get the idea of how big it was, although of course there were a lot...More

Easy to find East side Gallery is well worth a visit when in Berlin. Gives you an insight to the fall of the wall. Artworks are respected with no tags....the colour is amazing and the wall is much longer than what I expected.

Wall art on the wall that separated the lives of people, by the river and the bridge that connected the city. They made a good of the bad and it is definitely a must see and a place to photo shoot in Berlin

Would definitely recommend checking out the east side gallery. We went on a rainy day so it wasn’t too busy, but it is a must see in Berlin!

After seeing so many pictures and TV documentaries of the Berlin wall, I finally got the opportunity to visit it in person, and it was worth it. So much art, and expression, quite a sight.

This can be a very quick activity, just walking past and admiring the artistry. It can just be a filler if you have 20-30 minutes to spare around the area or if you have a short amount of time left visiting Berlin. I visited after...More

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of
the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party
hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is
palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter
are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may
find a bar with international crowds, electronic
music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other,
an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit

Hi. Go to the Warschauer Station. Come out, turn left & walk down the hill for about 5 minutes. At the road junction at the bottom you will see the start of the gallery across the road on the right.

It's not greatly lit, but you can still see it quite clearly during the night (if you have decent sight). If you want to check out the full details and/or don't have the best pair of eyes, better to go during the day ;-)
