One side of the road is hustle and bustle, and on the other there's this huge expanse of woods and parkland. We saw a few red squirrels running around. Not much else to say about parkland.

Good walking/running/biking paths, great playgrounds for kids, just a generally great place to get away from city noises

We spent one rainy evening in the Berlin zoo with my teenager. The zoo is very well organized and you can find a great variety of exotic animals there.

After all the running around in trying to tick off all the 'must see' spots in Berlin, it is great to escape to this beautiful and tranquil part of town just to catch your breath!

Tiergarten has a series of very worthwhile museums, statues and memorials to see including to Homosexuals, the Russian Memorial where thousands are buried, the statue of the music composers, the Victory statue. All incredibly beautiful.

We had a very good stay at the Hyatt and the proximity to the Tiergarten park made a visit to this attraction perfect for my outdoor cravings while confined to being in the concrete jungle (my wife especially loved all the museums on "museum island."...More

Tiergarten is such a pleasant spot in a big buzzling city - almost more like a wood than a park. It's so quiet end the air so fresh even on a warm summer day - it's certainly Berlin's green lung.

We rented two nextbike bicycles for 1 euro per hour. Just downloaded the nextbike app and paid with it. Easy user interface. The ride in the tiergarten was very easy and fun. Talia

Walking in the park, seeing the gardens, Lamp Post Museum and many beautiful statues is free. There's a charge for going inside the Victory Column (Siegessäule), and of course for food and drink at the restaurants.
