A must see place for people with interest in cars. The combination of museum, garage, storage and sales is great. Hundreds of beautiful cars on display in a clean and interesting setup. Best museum experience in Berlin. Even the not so car interested will find this a good experience.

I visited here as part of a business lunch during a visit to a nearby well-known German company in the power generation field. The place is truly amazing, and must be a one of a kind (the only similar place I have been to is the Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford, Somerset, England). You could literally spend hours wandering around,... More

If you like old cars this is a must when in Berlin. 2 hours is enough time and just a short walk from the train station.

I thought there would be some nice old stuff here but never thought it would be to the standard it was. Such a high standard of new and old tin in a lovely setting. Well worth the trip out as its not far from the centre.

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Even if you are not a car fanatic it's still such an interesting place to visit. Excellent restaurant as well.

My husband could not believe his eyes in here, he was like a kid in a sweet shop. What a place!! There's also a lovely café/restaurant.

We got a taxi out & back (€20 each way). There was free admission into here. Loads of seriously cool cars to have a look at, as a girl I still enjoyed the walk around it. I especially loved looking at the really old cars.

This is a great free attraction. I don't even particularly like cars but it was fun to walk around and look at all the pretty cars. My friend who is somewhat more interested in cars was really impressed by this. Amazing collection.

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
