It's good there is text in 4 languages. However the text is just jammed onto the walls into every space. There is little effort to distinguish a overall storyline from the detailed information.

This is a brilliant museum... with lots of information. A few qualifiers to that remark. There is almost too much information crammed into the cramped rooms.. It is also a confusing building with little help as to where one should 'go next' from each room....More

Firstly - checkpoint Charlie itself - I found this very disappointing especially the impersonators of American Servicemen. Not worth the effort to visit. HOWEVER - at the same location is the museum telling the story of the wall and all its history, its escape attempts...More

I throughly enjoyed the museum, but it was overwhelming at times. The organization and layout is scattered brained and the audio guide can be confusing in terms of order. Overall, I'd recommend going but pick and choose what you want to read about or else...More

Was interesting to see a replica of Checkpoint Charlie, with the multi-language signs warning people that they were leaving the Western section. But only if you're nearby -- not worth making a special trip. Didn't go in the museum. The "soldiers" at the Checkpoint charge...More

I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to visit this site. It was a part of a tour we did so..... Berlin is huge and very spread out - this site isn't "real". It's just actors in a booth charging you to take pictures...More

Really good museum stand side by side with this piece of history. A must see if in Berlin. Lots of photo opportunitys and you really get a feel for how both sides must have felt.

If you have many days in Berlin it's a good place to go, but just for one time in life. I really didn't like it that much.

The exhibition consists of long texts to read about the wall, without highlighting the crucial stories Nearly zero interesting facts, or stories or objects. The exhibition should have been much better organised. Compared to this low wow-effect the 14,50 EUR entry fee is extremely high...More

One must see this, but it is not earth shattering. The checkpoint Charlie house is rebuilt. The wall is a must see because of its ludicrous intent.

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can
both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central
neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the
1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around
Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s,
rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a
carefree life here. An old hospital even became a
hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today

I would encourage you to try and fit in both the Topography of Terror and the Museum at Check Point Charlie. Each gives a good summary of different eras of Berlin's and Germany's history. The former is all about the Nazi... More
