We loved our visit here and the tour by Isabella. The stadium has so much history and we found the tour really informative. We'd definitely recommend a visit. I had also emailed the team ahead of my visit with some questions and they were fantastic.

We arrived mid week in early October. The site of the stadium is huge including as it does the swimming centre and the Mai Field. The pool was partly covered in sheeting but the pool itself was visible and looked amazing. We booked a tour of the stadium with guide Tim. An architect by profession he was very good. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic! His overview of the stadium’s history from pre-war to today was fascinating! The large monumental statues around the site were very Teutonic! We left very happy! 10/10

Fantastic tour with Sven, he was really knowledgable and we really enjoyed learning about the history and sporting events the stadium has. It’s an impressive stadium and so different to others we have visited. Recommend a tour here, good price and English speaking guides available as well.

Good to go and see, just not a whole lot to do when you get there. None of the food stalls except one were open by that’s probably down to the time of the day we got there. The stadium itself is a big and proud as you’d expect. Glad we went but would have liked a little something else to do when you get there.

Very enjoyable. Disembark at the Olympic U-Bahn stop and it’s a short walk to the visitor centre. I prebooked a visitor ticket €11 with a time slot. However I was 30mims early which wasn’t an issue. I also got a multimedia device +€4 which added to the experience. 12 points of interest on the device tour with each segment about 6/7 minutes duration so not overloaded with info. Lots of vantage points inside around the stadium Also there’s a cafeteria and toilets.

The stadium is the home of Hertha Berlin Football Club. Its roots however are more sinister. The stadium was built to house the 1936 Olympic Games and meant to showcase the German Aryan athletes. The track & field events were made famous by Jesse Owens an American athlete who won four gold medals at the games.

Went on the English speaking tour (Sun 19th May) and was great and very informative. Not rushed and covered a lot. Sensitively covered the historical parts right up to current sports events. Really enjoyed and pass on my thanks to Jenny W. 👍😊

This is a large sports stadium that hosted the 1936 Olympics and is currently a football venue. To a large extent it is much like other large stadia. You take a guided tour which provides a lot of information on the facilities and the history. The history of the 1936 Olympics is interesting but only makes up a limited part of the tour. Another thing of interest is the indoor warm-up facilities which includes an athletics track where the climate can me matched to the outdoor climate to prepare the athletes as best as possible. The stadium is easily accessible by train from central Berlin - there is a station right next to the stadium. Around the stadium are plinths commemorating each Olympics that Germany competed in, inscribed with the names of German gold medalists. There are toilets and a cafe on site.

Originally built by the Nazis for the 1936 Olympic Games, it stood the test of time after decision was made to renovate rather than replace it. Being its remote location it survived the war almost intact. For the visitor its location is also a drawback as it takes over 3/4 of an hour to get there by public transport from central Berlin. It has witnessed the Olympics, WWII, World Cup and Euro.

Olympiastadion is a short walk from the S-barn station. Plenty of beer & food choices before entering. We attended a Hertha soccer match, great enthusiasm by the crowd and a wonderful way to spend the day!
