This stadium was well worth a visit, even though it was a little bit outside the city. It can be reached via the U or S bahn. Built for the 1936 Olympics, this stadium has an amazing history that is well worth the trek.

This was my second visit to this stadium. It can be reached via the U or S bahn. I paid for the self guided tour. The building exterior and the outer buildings were built for the 1936 Olympics in the grand Nazi building style. The Olympic park is quite large and has many areas with info signs and photos. The... This was brilliant and I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. The history of it os brilliant and there are lots of points of information and I ended up spending longer there than I had anticipated. It is a little further out so you have to get the S -Bahn and U-Bahn but this was easy enough... More

Originally the stadium of the 1936 Olympics, this building is still in use and in a good shape. Being the model for stadiums to come, this compound is a must see for people with architecture interest.

A bit far out if you are only on a short trip but if you love your sport and you have time to spare take a trip up to the stadium. We paid for a headset that provided directions on where to stop and interesting information about different locations. The tour incorporated the whole of the Olympic village with some... More

I didn't expect to enjoy this visit as much as I did. There are so many images inside the stadium that you are familiar with without really knowing. The history and events of this place still reverberate. A pleasant 30 minutes train ride out of the city.

Take the U-Bahn or S-Bahn to Olympic Stadion or book a tour with a tour guide. You get to see this historic stadium where the 1932 Olympics was held, close by you can see the outdoor Olympic Swimming Pool also used during the Olympics and the Mai Feld to the west behind the stadion where the Equestrian Compititions were held.... I was there just to see the stadium from outside as I have heard a lot about it. But it is worthless to go if there is no match to be played.

It was winter and cold but the site was surprisingly empty. You can't walk on the track or pitch but everywhere else is pretty much open. We had a very good guide with us but I'm sure you could do your own research about the history of the stadium (Hitler's Olympics, Jesse Owens etc).
