Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I loved this beach which is so easy to get to. It costs a few Euros to get in which I admit I was surprised by, although I guess it has its upkeep. The walk from the train station takes you through glorious woods, the sunlight filtering the trees. The beach itself has glorious soft golden sands, practically deserted when I visited in mid May with little booths you can sit in and a smattering of beach bars and restaurants - more fast food than anything else. You might wish to take your own then if you plan to spend the day, especially if you're vegan or have food allergies.

This is an absolute must if you are visiting Berlin and want a day off from doing the usual city break activities.
Lovely clean beach with a large facilities complex which was built in the 30s but is well maintained.
Use the S Bahn to get there but don't get off at Wannsee. Get off one stop before at Nikolasse. 15 min walk along a wooded path to get to the beach past the cafes. 5 Euros to get in. YOU MUST BRING PHOTO ID TO GET IN. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Love this beach. It's so well laid out and clean. Can be a bit noisy, but head to the FKK part (if you're ok with nudity) and it's quieter with more shade.
Plenty to choose form food and drink wise, but the coffee is not very nice.
Lots of toilets, showers etc, so well worth the entrance fee.

Easiest way to get there is S7 and get off at Nikolassee - then it's about a 1km walk

Nice place to go for swim with family and kids. Can be very crowded on a hot day. Best book online to avoid queues. The food and drinks are expensive onsite so best to take few things on that day. Given man made beech not as authentic but passable. A bit of a walk to reach it so not ideal for people with wheel chair needs or less mobility
A day we’ll sort of you have few free days in Berlin

Kitch but chic! Fun to go with partner and sit in the cute boxes. Not very deep but that was ok. Closed a bit abruptly.

Easily accessed by S-banh + a 15 minute walk from Berlin. Buy your tickets in advance online to skip the line. Not a must do, but if you've got some time and want to check out something a little less touristy maybe a good "take it easy" day activity.

As of late July 22 the water here is very green and smells a bit swampy. There is green algae floating in the water and mats of algae and duck weed under foot. On the day we went, it was 39c/100+F degrees in berlin, so we didn't let it stop us. On a day with better water quality, my rating would have been higher.

The beach itself is nice & there are plenty of bathrooms and a variety of imbiss shops. We arrived around noon after pre-purchasing tickets the day before. As we are not from the area we were hoping to rent chairs/umbrellas or the little huts -- but everything had long-since been sold out. There is very little shade here so just something to keep in mind if you don't have your own beach umbrella.

There are a number of other public out-door swim spots in Berlin which seem worthwhile to explore as well.

Beach was OK... nothing to get exited about. Quite a lot of litter on the beach. The lake was full of green algae so much so that it had made the sand at the edge of the beach Green. Didn't go in the lake as looked filthy.

Not very busy when we went not much shade on the beach and you have to pay for loungers / umbrellas.

Showers were clean / warm enough.

On a recent family trip, we visited Strandbad Wannsee. Having grown up in Berlin, I was aware of its existence but had never visited the place before. My family deeply appreciated the experience. Affordable tickets, great rental options (e.g., cabana and foldable beach chairs), clean water, well-maintained bathrooms, and good food choices make the day at Strandbad Wannsee enjoyable.

This looks first review for almost a year on Trip Advisor. Germans clearly don’t do trip advisor so tourists need to rely on other tourists for real story. DO NOT TRY AND COME HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE BOOKED ONLINE IN ADVANCE.
Arrived few days ago on Saturday morning during 35 degree heatwave . Many turned away with no booking. 2 sessions during COVID from 9am and 3pm. Whole compound and beach area is closed off with high wire boundary fence like some sort of military camp. Cross lady telling people to go away at gate. All for a lake! Residual crowds headed for the municipal free beach area next door. Hopelessly crowded and horrible. Managed to get into the water sport area as booked SUP for an hour thankfully.
On leaving, there was a HALF MILE queue for Strandbad for the 3 o clock entry.
Pick your times and check the website.

This Strandbad has history and so much potential to be a great place to spend a summers day but they don't seem to invest in improvements. It is dated and feels neglected. Great sandy beach and beautiful views. That's all. Bring your own drinks and food because junk food is all they sell here.
