This was an amazing tour the guide was excellent, the English tour takes place 14:30pm daily and lasts about 2 hours, this prison is completely intact in you will learn all about the Strasi prison and history, you get to see the cells, interrogation rooms and much more, I don't really want to say much more as I don't want... A chilling (in every sense!) visit to a quite breathtaking chapter in relatively recent history. These are stories and events which are relevant to all of us, and as our guide reminded us, are still going on across the word today. Our guide was hugely informative and spoke excellent English. We learned much about the barbaric treatment which went on... More

Visited in the snow and the thought of being in one of the cells was all the more scary because of the terrible weather. Our guide was knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. The tour is chilling and thought provoking and should be compulsory for any teenager. Learning that she could have been imprisoned for her beliefs was a sobering experience... More

The Stassi Miseum gave informed us about the growth in Ministry of State Security from 1945 to 1989. Saw the records they kept on people, how they recruited, the spies, etc. we then went to the prison where we saw what happened to the people who were held at the prison for interrogation. Guide shared stories from survivors, some who work... More

We were recommended to go there by some friends. First of all, this is something I feel every teenager and older should see. Yo can probably compare it to a concentration camp in newer times. Second of all, how can people be so cruel. This really shows what the east German Stazi would do to you if you had the... More

a powerful experience to remember the past and the horrors that happened. We were there on a rainy and cold day. Can't imagine the horrors that happened there but it made me feel very humble.

The tour guide was very good and knowledgeable and coped with all the different nationalities in attendance well. It is well worth a visit and gives you a real insight into what was going off in that period. As above this is a horrible place, by the end of the tour I was ready to leave and I had paid... More

TBH the place has given me some nightmares but it gets 5 stars as it's a powerful experience; even journeying there on the M6 tram was a contrast to more glamorous parts of the city We did an 1130 English tour . I have to thank trip advisor for bringing this to my awareness as it was not featured notably... More

My German cousins drove me the 20 minutes from central Berlin for the 2-hour guided tour of the stasi prison and it was worth every minute. Unfortunately, we missed the English tour so I experienced the tour in German. The tour guide was excellent and very animated like when he reenacted a stasi interrogator pounding his fist on the desk... More

If you are interested in the history of Berlin then this place is a must!! Whilst hard-hitting at times it was extremely interesting to see how the prison operated under Soviet and then Stasi rule. Our tour guide was great, she had a wealth of knowledge and managed to achieve a balance of being informative yet upbeat.
