Zoo Berlin is home to over 15.000 rare and endangered animals representing more than 1.500 species and subspecies. It is the most speciose zoo worldwide. Zoo Berlin is located in heart of Berlin, opposite to the train station Zoologischer Garten. The tasks our zoos of today are faced with are many and diverse. And there is more than one reason to keep animals. Since 1844 visitors to Zoo Berlin can relax and learn. Comparable with a living, green oasis the zoo today lies directly at the heart of the city. Here you can relax and learn new facts about the most diverse zoological subjects as your interest takes you.

Nice to walk around and spend the day with family. Very friendly and relaxing. Quite cheap considering other zoos around Europe. Worth waiting the feeding times to have a (almost) face to face with the animals.

My 13 year old son really enjoyed our afternoon there. One of my favorite Zoo's so far. Enjoyed how the animals are kept and the variety of animals. Great way to break up all the history if traveling with kids.

The zoo used to be beautiful in combination with the park. Everything was so big and you saw a lot. The animals were also so relaxed.

I'm pretty sure that you can't. Inadvertently we exited a side gate and it was only with reluctance we were allowed in again.

Hi! No, you have to buy the tickets for both the tierpark and the zoo. The Zoo and acquarium are on the same grounds, not near the tiergarten.
