I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 in English last week and boy, I'm glad I picked this theater. The sound system was deafening yet crisp, and their soda/beer options as well as other snacks all looked great. My seat was really comfortable and I really enjoyed the 2.5 hours I spent there. Located in the amazing Sony Center plaza,... More

Very nice decorated, friendly staff. You can buy popcorn, candy, drinks.. I just think, that not being able to pay with Credit card, it was kind of strange..

We purchased tickets online right before the screening and just showed the barcode for scanning. Who needs physical tickets anymore? We read warnings about lots of advertising, bad toilets and breaks for purchasing more snacks in the middle of the film; luckily only the advertising was true for our visit. 40 minutes! Yes fourty!! Oh my god! Some smart people... More

This is a great place to see a movie in English. The theaters were clean and the lines were pretty typical for a movie theater.

Found this place online. One of the few cinemas in Berlin City Centre that shows films with original audio. (rare!) No subtitles. Ok price tickets too. You can buy slush, popcorn and soda (and probably beer, did not check). Beautiful entry after you have bought the ticket and go downstairs.

First theater to have not machines to buy tickets. The lineups can get long but worth it for the size of the screens. They also sell beer inside.

Cine star is located in the Sony center that now also hosts a Starbucks and various typical german restaurants mostly to kill time for the movie crowd. If you want to see original versions in a decent theater that's the one . Tickets are reasonable and the theater itself is clean, offers the usual popcorn and chips also you can... More

This cinema is situated in a cool place and is a pretty decent venue to watch a film. Has a wide range of films including most of the latest English ones. Nice inside, seems very clean which isn't always the case in cinemas. Comfy seats and good bar area.

We watched Anne Frank on a Saturday afternoon with subtitle. It was kinda weird to listen to German sound and reading English subtitle. I do need it anyway. Luckily my English is alright, so Im fine in reading English but it would have been better if its displayed both in the same language. (It was not mentioned, that the subtitle... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
