We really enjoyed our highlights tour Berlin. Biking allows you to see so much more compared to walking. Especially if you have limited time to visit the city just book with baja bikes. Locals tell you inside stories on all major monuments as well as on other things you may want to go see or do. It's absolutely worth every... More

Of course you can walk (takes more time), take a bus or S bahn (less healthy) to discover Berlin. But the city has no hills and not to much tragic (surprisingly). So a bike ride is the perfect way to see the highlights And our guide did an excellent job. So also my teenage daughters found the 3.5 hour tour... More

What a fantastic experience this was! How do you explain the DDR and the history of the wall to teenagers ? Well ... Ask Johan (Dutch speaking guide) and your kids will love it!!

The Christmas biking tour was absolutely amazing! This due to the fact that our guide, John was very enthousiastic and kind. He let us decide which places we wanted to see and in which order. Kind regards Delfien (Belgium), Ludovica (Italy) and Clara (Catalonia)

With our enthousiastic guide Jard we saw places of interest and heard the historical stories of them. Our coffeestop at Clarchen's Gipsy Ballroom took us back to the fifties! There is no better way to learn about Berlin than by bike withe a capable and expert guide.

Guide Jeroen was a very pleasant guide who lead us through the alternative areas of berlin. Relaxed tour which took us a little over 3 1/2 hours but worth all of the time. I would say; Must Do!

We made a reservation to rent several bikes but the location was very hard to find. Everyone we asked for "Baja Bikes" could not point us in the right direction since the place is named differently. After eventually finding the place, it was a perfect way to visit Berlin. Would definitely recommend it!

This tour was a great way to learn the history of the German Wall. Of course everybody knows something about it. But once doing the tour, most people will realize they know almost nothing. The bike brings you to places you won't get by car, hop on-hop off, or by foot. Of course it helped that we had an excellent... More

During our stay in Berlin, we did the Berlin bike tour on a Saturday morning. We booked the tour on-line a few days before. It was €.22 each, including a Dutch speaking guide and it would last 3,5 hours. We thought this would be the best way to see a lot of Berlin and get good information. How right we... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
