About
Screaming and laughing through Berlin’s dark past. The Berlin Dungeon is a uniquely thrilling attraction that will whisk you way back into the city’s most perilous past. A journey through over 800 years of Berlin’s history – from the medieval times to the 20th century. See, hear, feel and (ahem) smell the chillingly amusing characters of the ‘bad old days’ as they come to life before you. Uncover the legend of the dreaded White Lady, wonder through the Labyrinth of the Hohenzollern and meet the most notorious serial killer Carl Großmann. Will you lose yourself in fear or in mirth? Whichever way, it’s not looking good for your underwear. Are you brave enough for the darkest drop into the unknown with Berlin‘s highest indoor freefall tower?

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My 11 year old was invited to this place for a birthday party. Unfortunately, I didn't look at the website before sending my son, and I regret it. My son was totally shocked with the dead body operation (showing bloody intestines and heart) and the pliers used to cut the penises. Is this actually good for the mental health of a child? For the horror lovers is good, I guess, but I wish they could raise the entrance age to 16 year old.

It was very fun, a little scary so maybe not for kids. And be careful if you are introverted. The actors will make you a part of the show in front of everyone.

This is up there with the best thing we did on our trip to Berlin, we had such a great time!
I didn’t stop giggling or screaming - either or, haha.
The actors are fantastic.
I really would have liked it to be a bit longer because the time flew by and I was sad it was over, I will recommend this to anyone going to Berlin! Great fun

Excellent theming, acting and stories. Two fun rides and a truly immersive experience. Would highly recommend. We did a tour in English and worth noting there are only a few English tours each day so check ahead.

I booked a spot and turned up. Then turned away as not enough people booked to attend the show. Refused a refund.

Great experience, performed by an amazing team. Myself and my wife visited sort of on a whim and had no idea what to expect beforehand. We thought it might be a museum dungeon type thing but we were very wrong! It was so much better!
Initially, the ticket price seemed expensive at €26 ea (our fault for not checking beforehand), but I'm glad we didn't as we might not have gone.
The tour itself is a semi-guided immersive theatre through a series of different rooms and environments, where every room has a story. There isn't a lot of history and there's no real in depth looks at the context behind the stories, so don't expect that.
However, there quality of the acting, the production and the immersion is absolutely unreal! My wife was terrified, but said it was the highlight of our trip. My personal favourite was the "Witch" and I still cannot understand how she was so good at what she did. Hats off to you fraulein!
Well worth the trip!

Is it possible to skip free fall or other rides that maybe too scary
CMB783
Christchurch, New Zealand62 contributions
Yes. The free fall in my option is not scary at all. It has NO affect on your stomach like a real free fall. my husband wasn't going to do it as gets migraines from rides but decided to do it and it didn't bother him at all. Enjoy the laughs in the Dungeon.

Hi do we have to prebook or Just show up on the day?
Also, I’ve heard something about a free fall ride.. do you have to go on this to go on the tour? My boyfriend suffers a bad back and can’t go on rides.
Is the “raft ride” extreme?
Thanks

Hi. I recommend to prebook online but you also can show up on the day in this case be there at least 30 minutes before the show in case of a long line.
Yes there is a free fall ride but you don't have to do it. They ask who wants to do it.
No the raft ride is not extreme.
Have fun there !

ENGLISH TOURS HELP. English tours are 2:30 and 4:45 daily.
When booking online should i choose "2:15-2:30" or "2:30-2:45" ? quite close together we dont want to end up on a German Language tour. Thanks

Book the 2:15,but arrive with plenty of time otherwise they will sell your tickets, don't join the main queue, join the shorter online booking one, hope you have better luck than us!!
