This enormous column gives panoramic views across the Tiergarten and the wider city. Topped by a recently restored and gilded statue it is accessible via subways as it is in the centre of a roundabout on a very busy road. You need to be fit...More

Visited today, paid €3 for the museum and a climb to the top! 285 steps seemed a lot more :) They even had seats as you got higher so you could catch your breath, without getting in the way of your fellow climbers. What a...More

After some serious phisical exercise walking up the stairs you'll be generously rewarded with the most beautiful view over Tiergarten:-)

Unlike most monuments, this one conveys so many messages. The lofty idealism gives way to solid structure like a layer cake. They say the views from the top are stunnding.

Standing proud, the Victory column is unmissable when in Berlin. At one point you are bound to drive past and take in this impressive monument.

The symbol of Berlin. Very beautiful. It is possible to go upstairs but I did not do it. The surroundings are also nice to make a walk

Only 3 euros to get in, the exibt hall was interesting. The view from the first point was good. Frank went up to the top, be warned there are lots of stairs and they do get narrow. It was a very foggy day so the...More

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
