As a professional photographer I'd always wanted to see Helmut Newton's images on display, but I forgot how much nakedness there is in his photography (and that of other photographers on display). So taking my 13 year old son was maybe not the best idea.

Being a photographer, this was one of the highlights of my last visit to Berlin – but I can understand how someone who’s looking for a more mainstream offering might find it ‘limited’. And it’s probably not the best signposted museum in the world –...More

Firstly am a 'fan' of Newton. To see his photography in huge scale really moved me. The building itself was a wonderful backdrop to his powerful images of women (mostly naked). I loved seeing so much of his work on display all in one gallery....More

The HNF gives a tribute to this master of model photography by giving an insight in his life and work. Nice artefacts that were owned by the man!

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through
the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which
lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood.
Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city:
upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades
and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone
streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through
little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
